Rage Rage | Oes Oes
Getting grey, but have nice things to say?
A new club widening creative exploration, and generating fun activities for people who left school before 1990
Taking it’s name and inspiration from Dylan Thomas’ poem ‘Do not go gentle into that good night’. We're not ready for that light to dim. We may be getting grey, but we still have positive things to say about our age, our collective experience, and the things we can share to help us get greyer & greater together.
You are not 'too old', you are not 'too tired', you are probably the best version of yourself looking for a club that wants you in it.
Citrus Arts will listen to what you want and work hard to raise the funds so that we can offer an array of varied inter-generational events, organise gigs, walks and and wider cultural offerings that we can do together, and enjoy our place in the world as we grow older.

Pontypridd
Provocations
Walk & Talk with Historian and Writer Daryl Leeworthy
Sunday, 12th Jan 25, 11am
A series of walking talks presenting personal perspectives of the places and peoples of Pontypridd, past and present. (And other things that don’t start with ‘P’!)
From January to March 2025 Rage Rage / Oes Oes are inviting locally connected writers, broadcasters, musicians and other artists to take us on personal walks in and around the area. A mixture of ‘facts’, opinions and questions, the idea is to stimulate the mind and body at the same time, and to make us all think about how we see this place…
Oh, and the title is a ‘provocation’ in itself…. no doubt we’ll be in Hopkinstown, Trallwng, Y Graig, Trefforest and in places that no longer exist.
The walks will be of different lengths and durations. We start with a walk led by Daryl Leeworthy, author of the fantastic 2024 book ‘Ponty is it?’. This is a 4 hour roughly circular walk so is never too far from the centre of Ponty. There will be several refreshment stops on the way.
Date: Sunday 12th January
Meet: 11am in front of Pontypridd library
The walk will go ahead unless the forecast is for more than drizzle, in which case it will be postponed until the following week
This is strictly limited to 15 places
If you book and can no longer make it, please let us know as we will have a reserve list for this event!
